Microfiber Glass Duster - 40x40

A microfiber glass duster is a cleaning tool designed specifically for dusting and polishing glass and similar smooth, reflective surfaces, using microfiber as its active material. Unlike general dusters or cloths, these are optimized to reduce streaks, lint, and scratching on glass, mirrors, windshields, etc., while removing dust, small debris, and light grime.

Made from a combination of polyester and polyamide, the polyester gives static charge when microfiber is rubbed or moved across surfaces, which helps attract dust particles rather than pushing them around, and the polyamide adds softness, absorbency, and helps with the polishing/sheen quality.

The fibers are split into very fine sub-filaments during manufacture, creating many microscopic wedges. These splits help trap and hold dust, dirt, and moisture.

The duster has a fine, tight weave, so that it's gentle on glass, doesn't leave fibers or lint, and has a uniform surface contact.

The softness of the microfiber, plus the smoothness of the weave, reduces the risk of scratches. Very useful for delicate or coated glass, mirrors, and screens.

In many cases, a dry microfiber glass duster or one slightly damp requires little or no chemical cleaners, since the material itself does much of the lifting and cleaning. This is beneficial for health, the environment, and cost because dust and small particles are trapped, not just pushed; they are good for improving indoor air quality; capturing allergens, dust mites, etc. 

With correct care, microfiber dusters can be washed many times without losing much of their effectiveness. They typically last longer than disposable duster heads or paper/cloths that degrade quickly.

To maintain performance and maximize lifespan:

Wash in cold or warm water, not hot as it may damage fibers.  

Use mild, liquid detergents; avoid fabric softeners, bleach, and whitening agents as they can coat or degrade microfiber, reducing absorbency and clarity.  

Air drying is ideal for a better life span

After each use, if dust/particulate build-up is visible, rinse or shake out. Dirty fibers will scratch surfaces if they carry grit.

Store dry in a clean area; avoid leaving damp or soiled items in enclosed spaces to prevent mildew or odor.
